Awarded the Highest Florida Supreme Court Honor for Our Pro Bono Work
Wooten Kimbrough, P.A. received the highest award given by the Florida Supreme Court to a law firm for its active participation in helping those less fortunate. For recognition of our pro bono legal services, the firm received The Chief Justices’ Law Firm Commendation Award in Tallahassee before the full Supreme Court in February of 1993.
In addition to our service to the community at large, members of our firm have demonstrated their commitment to improving the legal profession and the system of justice by serving in multiple capacities of bar association leadership positions as elected by fellow personal injury attorneys.
Our attorneys also support the Frederick Leadership Initiative, an organization whose focus is recruiting top talent to central Florida to pursue post-graduate opportunities with local governments and businesses. Bill Frederick, founding partner Orman L. Kimbrough, Jr. and a past Mayor for the City of Orlando helped found the Frederick Leadership Initiative.
Taking Pride in Our Orlando Roots
Not only do we find making connections with the people and organizations of our community meaningful, but the building in which our firm practices is also a significant part of Orlando history.
Built in approximately 1914 as the dream house of Elizabeth Shine Woodruff, wife of County Tax Collector Seth Woodruff, the Woodruff home was the first all-brick building in Orlando. The home was rather lavishly appointed with tiles for the porch area that were imported from Italy.
This building has had quite an interesting history and remains one of the finest structures in Orlando today. With its strategic location on the shores of Lake Lucerne, many residents and visitors see and admire the building every day.
