A 78-year-old man died in an Orlando car accident on November 25, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Kantilal Patel, of Clermont, was involved in the accident after a pickup truck, driven by a 21-year-old male, did not see cars stopped at a red light. The driver, Christopher Phillips of Rome, Georgia, did not see the stopped traffic “for unknown reasons,” according to police reports.
The accident occurred around 5 p.m. on Citrus Tower Blvd. The accident caused a chain reaction, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The truck struck a van, which then hit Patel’s vehicle. Phillips was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in serious condition. Five others sustained minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
